OK. I promised myself that tonight I would work on my show. Instead I have spent the evening (I only got home at 10:30) uploading albums Corey gave me into my ITunes, and now I am OBSSESSED with listening to Thom Yorke's album. It rocks!!!
Why I am blocked I do not know... I think partially it is because I am wishing something exciting would happen in my real life... I know I could just make things up. A lot of my show is made up and just based "loosely" on reality - except for being dumped over chicken - that's all real.
My mom made bean soup. I tried it and it was DELISH. I was really surprised as I am not usually a bean person... yum. I want more now please.
So I signed into my Jdate email addy to see if any weirdos had written, or added me to their msn... One guy starts chatting me up and asks me what I do for a living... "Well, I'm an advertising manager for a consumer electronics distributor" - oh I hope it's not the one near Leon's... UM THERE'S A WAY TO WIN A GIRL OVER: CRITICIZE THE COMPANY SHE WORKS FOR WITHIN THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES. This could be total show material...
Or, my friend... her friend at work went away for work and while she was gone asked her sister to pass by her condo and her bf of 4 years was having a romantic candlelight dinner with another woman... Now that's classy!
Or - I get an email from some jdate dude asking me out - we've already gone out!!! I was not into him but apparently not even memorable... So I mention that we've met on a double date with Carly and he writes back to ask me if Carly is still single.
This is why internet dating doesn't work. The only available men are freaks!!
Or the other week I get an email from a guy who tells me he's never been on jdate before, describes what he does and I realize it's my friend's friend's BOYFRIEND. Well, guess who got busted!!!
Am I ranting a little??? Sorry...
